If you’re looking for tasty “pick-me-up” or a morning-after “cure” this Skinny Creamy Espresso Martini is a must! AND this one is frothy, creamy AND skinny!

Hello and welcome to NovelFoodie!
I’ve rebranded the blog from eBookFoodie to NovelFoodie. I’ll still be posting eBook inspired recipes, family recipes and more!
As the blog transitions to the new name, you may see a few glitches or broken links and I appreciate your patience.
Why rebrand, you ask? When I first started this blog about five years ago my vision was to offer eBook cookbook design. Since then, I’ve realized that’s way too much for me to take on in addition to my full time job, family life and other obligations.
So, welcome to NovelFoodie!

I prefer tequila, but I made these martinis for my family at a family dinner with vodka. Either way, they are delicious!

How to Make Espresso Martinis Creamy & Skinny

Make these skinny martinis with instant espresso or coffee, Silk Unsweet Coconut Milk, a hint of cocoa, and tequila. The Silk UNSWEET Coconut Milk makes a great froth on top, and gives it a hint of creaminess! I found this in the refrigerated milk section. I haven’t tested other milks, but I’m sure you can substitute the Silk Unsweet Coconut Milk with your milk or cream of choice. The Unsweet Coconut Silk froths up nicely and adds a bit of creaminess without adding a ton of calories.

Silk Unsweet Coconut

Silk UNSWEET coconut milk only has 40 calories per cup, and we’re only using 1/2 cup. Sometimes, I sneak 1 shot of 1/2 & 1/2 cream in for an extra creamy treat in these martinis. Especially during the holidays!

My WordPress recipe plugin shows this skinny espresso martini to have 155 calories. The MyFitnessPal app calculates 146 kcal, 2g fat, and 16.6 g Total Carbohydrates.

Skinny Creamy Espresso Martini

If you are a coffee lover like me, you'll love this Skinny Creamy Espresso Martini! This 6 oz creamy and frothy martini only has about 150 calories. I use one of my favorite ingredients, Silk Unsweet Coconut Milk. It adds just enough creaminess to make it seem a little less "Skinny" than it actually is! If you don't mind the extra calories, you can add a bit of half & half or creamer to it. 1 tbsp of half & half will add 20 calories.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ice (Extra to pre-chill your glass.)
  • 1 oz Tequila
  • tsp espresso powder To taste. Can substitute with 1/4 cup of strong brewed espresso.
  • tsp cocoa powder Optional, just a pinch.
  • ½ oz agave Optional, to taste. It's about 60kcal per tbsp!
  • 4 oz Silk Unsweet Coconut Milk To taste.

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into your cocktail shaker and shake for at least 30 seconds, or longer for a nice froth on top. TIP: Open slowly and be ready to pour. The buildup of the froth will make it bubble over, so open it slowly to prevent it from overflowing.

Optional method

  • Put all ingredients except for the ice into a blender and blend until combined and frothy. Strain the liquid into the cocktail shaker, leaving the foam in the blender. Shake the cocktail gently to chill. Strain the martini into glasses and top with the foam.

Optional

  • *Chill your glass by filling it with ice water before making the martini.

Notes

I had a hard time with the nutritional values for this recipe. The above is from my WordPress recipe plugin. MyFitnessPal calculates 146 kcal, 2g fat, and 16.6 g Total Carbohydrates.
Optional. Add a dash of half & half or cream for extra creaminess. It will add about 20 kcal per tbsp!
