Easy Buffalo Hot Wing Sauce (reduced sodium)

Homemade hot wing sauce is simple to make and you can make it as spicy, tangy, and as sweet as you want to make it. It also has about half the sodium of bottled buffalo wing sauce per tablespoon.
This recipe makes enough for 2 pounds of wings.

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Either baste or toss the wings in a large bowl with the sauce.
    For a less spicy sauce add more butter and honey, or use less sriracha.

Notes

*The nutritional value is a 2 tbsp serving, which is roughly half the sodium of 2 tbsp of bottled buffalo wing sauce.
TIP: Instead of tossing wings in a bowl full of hot sauce, drizzle the sauce over your wings to save on calories and reduce even more sodium.
